Adrian was a fantastic instructor. Always gave clear instructions on what needed to happen during the lesson and how we would go about the resources we learn. Always made the lessons fun and possible on the times i could work around. Passed first try thanks to him.
Brilliant instructor Adrian knows what he is doing has plenty of patience and gives a lot of confidence to his students cancellation was quick as well passede first time would highly recommend
So pleased to say I passed first time today, all thanks to my INCREDIBLE driving instructor, Mark Reynolds!! As someone who had never sat in the driver's seat of a car before, I was very nervous about learning to drive!Mark is the perfect instructor for any nervous new driver, being so patient and reassuring whilst breaking everything down making everything a lot easier to process and understand! You're also guaranteed to have a few laughs with him too!Honestly couldn't be happier with my time being taught by Mark! Definitely going to miss my Monday midday lessons!!Thank you so much for everything Mark!
Having just passed my test I would really like to highlight how much I would recommend Mike Knap as an instructor. He always made me feel very comfortable and at ease, and his teaching methods were very effective and structured. He also helped me feel much more confident in my ability and I appreciate how much he believed in me - Would recommend to anyone. Thanks so much :)
I passed my test today thanks to the help of Ian Mulley! I’m naturally nervous and anxious but Ian was so good and helped me learn at my own pace. I honestly would never have passed without him! 10/10 recommend.

Passed yesterday, first time after being taught by Sara Jenkins, she’s an encouraging instructor with so much patience. She really listens to what helps you learn and is very adaptive to that. I always felt comfortable when driving with her.
Couldn’t recommend Sara and How2Drive enough!
Thankyou for everything.
After passing my driving test with only 2 minors I can very confidently recommend Ian Oxley from How-2-Drive! He was a very patient, kind and encouraging instructor who made sure that lessons were a good mix of new challenges and skills building. Before learning with Ian, I was very nervous behind the wheel and was unsure if I would ever pass my driving test, but in a few short months I made more progress than I ever thought was possible. Driving lessons used to be source of anxiety for me, but after I started learning with Ian I quickly gained confidence and looked forward to our lessons because I always felt like I was making progress towards passing my test even when I made mistakes.
Additionally, I also found that lessons were always easy to arrange even around my unpredictable schedule and the app was very helpful for tracking my progress and payments. I would definitely recommend Ian and How-2-Drive to anyone looking to learn. Overall, a professional, progress-oriented and good value driving school with very patient and engaging instructors!
I’m glad to say that I passed my driving test first time today and it is all thanks to my driving instructor Mark Reynolds. I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better driving instructor, he was always super patient and encouraging in all of my lessons and I always felt like I learnt something every lesson. I couldn’t recommend Mark and the How 2 Drive team enough to new learners and I am going to miss our weekly lessons together. 10/10 service and I am fully satisfied with the lessons! I wish Mark all the best for the future and i encourage any new learners to try and get lessons with him, you won’t regret it!
I highly recommend Wayne bennet for any of you that are anxious nervous or have a lack of belief in yourselves this bloke I cannot recommend or thank enough he saw me through my highs and lows allowed me to figure instructions he gave out myself because my brain doesn’t work like a regular person he gave me the time I needed to excel in my driving where past instructors have been pushy and snappy Wayne stuck by me and saw me through my test and put me at ease in every way possible it was a long old road and I did have to do a few tests but with Wayne I have recently passed . To anyone wanting to pass their test but have trouble with bog standard instructions or have anxiety that cripples them Wayne is 💯 the one to go with !! Thankyou for everything you have done to get me through my test . To any pupils wanting to start or currently doing their driving keep going I promise you will get there no matter what !! All the best Sammy hall

Have questions about taking driving tuition with us?

Can I Take Automatic Driving Lessons?
Yes, you can! We now have automatic instructors for the following locations:
Do You Offer Intensive Driving Lessons?

Yes! We are happy to announce that we are now able to offer intensive driving lessons in both the Greater Norwich area and the Lowestoft and Yarmouth areas.

How Long Will it Take to Pass My Test?

If you are a beginner we can teach you to drive to a high standard in around 30 hours. By this point you’ll be ready to pass your test.

If you already have some driving and road experience we’ll aim to do it even quicker than that!

How Many Driving Lessons Will I Need Before I Take My Test?

This is easily one of the most common questions we get asked at How-2-Drive.

We know you want to learn how to drive in as few lessons as possible. We understand that you don’t want to feel rushed. But, at the same time, you also don’t want your tuition to drag on for longer than necessary.

Clearly-structured driving lessons

By using our Structured Driver Training System, we are able to deliver well-planned lessons that have clear objectives. Learning to drive is a considerable investment and we want you to get good value for your money.

According to the DVSA, it takes an average of 47 hours to pass the practical driving test. And that’s for learners who are sensible enough to study with an Approved Driving Instructor. On top of this, the DVSA says an additional 20 hours of private driving practice is also required.

How many sessions can we save you?

But who wants to be average? As a result of our specially-designed Structured Driver Training System, our pupils take 17 hours less than the DVSA average!

Our tried-and-tested system can reduce the time it will take you to learn to drive. We consistently bring our pupils up to pass standard within 30 to 40 hours of instructor contact time.

That’s up to 17 hours less than the average learner driver. We can save you time and money!

How Will I Know How I’m Getting On With My Lessons?

You will be given your own Learning to Drive Handbook when you start taking driving lessons with us. Your instructor will use it to record your progress after each lesson. This will give you a record of how well you are doing and what you need to learn or practice next.

You will also be encouraged to keep a reflective log. You can use this to review your own learning so that you can discuss your objectives with your driving instructor at the start of each lesson.
